Christina Arpante grew up (mostly) in the Boston area surrounded by a family of experienced Italian cooks. Whether it was the eye witness accounts of mom spending endless hours preparing “shifts” of meals to fit her family’s forever-changing schedule, Nana hand rolling homemade pasta or Grandma making quick, simple, yet delicious rice with egg, fresh, homemade food was and has always been the center of personal, familial, and social camaraderie.
Before turning her career to baking and pastry, Christina Arpante was a passionate middle school administrator, having received her Doctorate in Education. Arpante began her transition from the schools to the pastry world by satisfying several courses and certification completions from the Art Institute of Atlanta. She also attended courses at the Institute of Culinary Education in New York, where she continued to hone her pastry skills. She has been a chef at a residential fitness retreat in Utah, a writer and editor for the Well Fed Network, has been recognized a noteworthy food blogger by the Atlanta Journal Constitution and has served as pastry chef at several small Atlanta area restaurants.
Believing she has found her calling, Christina constantly works to further expand her culinary knowledge. She uses every opportunity as a learning experience and always looks forward to what the future has in store.
